Like wise, a bottle garden has the essential requirements of soil and water for the survival of plants that are housed in it, but with occasional care and maintenance. Apart from these essential requirements, the bottle garden has reservoir of water which keeps readily available moisture to the plant and also enables a humid environment in the bottle. Bottle gardens if effectively designed can fetch very high price. Selection of plants to be planted for the bottle garden is very important and in quite a few cases people fail to appreciate this fact and try to incorporate any plant they can lay hands up on! An ideal bottle plant is of slow growth and dwarf habit. Because combinations of plants are housed in a bottle garden all the plants selected must be slow growing and dwarf, so that smothering can be avoided. Extremes of temperatures should be avoided and hence the bottle garden should be placed in such a location where there is adequate availability of sunlight. Also the soil or the compost, used in bottle gardens be just adequate for survival of the plants and should not induce vigorous growth. Bottle gardening can be taken up in many different shapes and sizes and one can even go for custom made glass containers of the size and shape of choice. But containers of the shape of a normal bottle with narrow neck are the most effective for bottle gardens as it helps in proper maintenance of humidity and also for the appearance when the garden gets established. The first step is to clean the container thoroughly by using water and detergent. Rich compost is avoided, as the plants are chosen for slow growth and dwarf habit. The compost, which is moistened enough but not wet, is put into bottle by means of a paper funnel, preventing the compost from spilling on the sides of the bottle by adhering to the wet surface. It will be beneficial if a layer of crushed charcoal or small sized gravel is put before running in the compost. This layer of charcoal or gravel acts as water reservoir and replenishes the compost or soil with water as and when needed. Small amount of water can be added by the aid of a straw fitted with funnel or running down the water carefully along the inner surface of the bottle. Coming to planting in the bottle gardens, the plants should have previously grown in small pots so that they have a compact ball of roots with adhering compost. A thin rod or stick be taken to make holes of suitable sizes on the compost layer and the plants are dropped in to these holes, after carefully pressing through the bottle neck. To increase the aesthetic appearance of a bottle garden, natural things of beauty such as colored and suitably shaped stones or pieces of bark can be placed in the bottle garden. Care must be taken to sterilize such things before introduction as these may carry pests and your bottle garden may get destroyed. After planting, the bottle neck is plugged with cotton wool. During the day time when the plant receives sunlight, it is advised to turn the position of the bottle periodically to maintain the symmetry of the plants in the bottle, otherwise, asymmetry may be caused because of elongation or more growth of the portion of the plant towards light. The bottle garden rarely needs watering, but maintenance in terms of removal of accumulated dead leaf and shoots and occasional pruning are necessary for a healthy bottle garden. Direct sunlight causes heavy growth and may even raise the temperature inside the bottle and hence extreme temperatures be avoided. Few of the plants which can be taken up for bottle garden are Pilea, Selaginella, Peperomoia, Maranta etc.You can experiment a lot, keeping in strict adherence to the rule that the plants grow slow and have a dwarf habit. The first being that all banks are cased to some extent- whether it be walking by several times to get a feel for the layout, handing a teller a ten dollar bill and asking for a roll of quarters, or sitting down with a loan officer under the guise of being interested in a loan. Write down details and descriptions, greet unknown individuals with eye contact and engage them in conversation. No potential robber wants someone to get a good look at him or her. What appears to be good customer service can also be the best method of deterring a crime or recalling details that could ultimately lead to apprehension. A bank robber will always take the path of least resistance- always! If hiring a guard is cost prohibitive or not consistent with a customer friendly environment, make a conscious effort to hire more male tellers. At the very least, make a male presence felt on Fridays, when over 50% of all bank robberies take place. The majority of bank robbers, I would venture to say 90%, are strung out on drugs, have a gambling debt or are out of work and at the end of their rope. Combine high unemployment with our countrys continuing preoccupation with drugs and the ease in which gambling can be accessed, we can only expect things to get worse before they get better. Bank robbery is here to stay. Adding additional F.B.I. Agents will help only in the areas of apprehension and recovery and since over 90% of all bank robbers are apprehended anyway, why should this be an area of focus? Passing new and separate bank robbery charges will only add to our already overcrowded prisons, and the installation of security devices is a waste of money and only serves to alienate the legitimate customer. When I speak to banking and credit union groups and associations on robber proofing their institutions, I make it clear that high security devices and bullet proof glass are not the answer. The answer lies within those who are on the front lines-their employees. They and they alone have the power to send a would-be robber down the road to consider another institution, one that offers a path of less resistance. By Paul Griffitts Underneath the Hebrew and Chaldee of the Old Testament and the Greek of the New Testament there is hidden an extraordinary disposition of numbers which cannot be explained away by human intelligence. In order to understand this we must remember that none of these languages had symbols for numbers such as we have (1,2,3,4, etc). Instead of numeric symbols they made use of the letters of their alphabet so that a = 1, b =2 etc. One can easily see then that a word could be looked at in two ways, either as a word or as a series of numbers which could be added up to a total. For instance, the Greek word for word is logos. If looked at from a numerical standpoint its value would be l =30, o 70, g = 3, o = 70, s = 200; total 373. The numerical value of logos is therefore 373. If we were to look at the Greek text of the first eleven verses of the New Testament (Matt. 1:1-11), we would find an elaborate scheme of sevens underlying the words, which could not have been put there by chance, or even arranged by any human cleverness on Matthews part. These verses contain 49 words (7×7). Of these 49 words, 28 (4×7) begin with a vowel, and 21 (3×7) begin with a consonant. These 49 words have 266 letters (7x2x19); this number is itself 38 sevens, and the sum of its factors is 28 (4×7). Of these 266 letters, 140 (20×7) are vowels, and 126 (18×7) are consonants. Of these 49 words 35 (5×7) occur more than once in the passage and 14 (2×7) occur only once. Seven occur in more than one form and 42 (6×7) occur only in one form. The 49 words are divided thus: 42 (7×6) are nouns (the name of something) and seven are not nouns. Of these nouns, 35 (5×7) are names of people and seven are ordinary nouns. Of these names 28 (4×7) are male ancestors of Christ and seven are not. Thus, an elaborate system of sevens occurs in these few short verses of the Bible. If Matthew was not writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, what a headache he must have had trying to figure out how to arrange all those sevens. There is also a system of elevens in the Greek and Hebrew texts of the Scriptures and so wonderful is this that the chance of these figures occurring by accident rather than design (this is by the inspiration of God) is 1 in a number followed by 30 zeros, billion million taken a million times. No one in his right senses therefore could argue that all these happened by accident or by human cleverness. Mathematics says it could not do so. This marvelous system of numbers occurs right throughout Scripture from Genesis to Revelation. Attempts have been made to find the same thing in human authors, especially those who lived about the same time as the writers of the Bible but no such system has been discovered; it is only found in the Word of God.
